this video reminds me of a question i've had for a while -- "why is the internet so much about reacting to things?"
to some extent i want to blame site designers (not just the people who write the code but also those who devise company policy) for putting emphasis on engagement and not really giving proper weight to the quality of said engagement
but then again once people found ways react to things they did so anyway all designers really did was to give them more tools to react faster and in more emphatic ways
