Being able to fly would be pretty sweet, but so would unicorn magic. Then again, no one seems to be able to do a lot with that except Twilight.
Hm, I'm guessing there aren't a lot of people who say they'd just be earth ponies? (Except for ninjas. Naney, your cutie mark is now a shuriken. Anything's possible when you post before me; you are a horse.)

Funny, sometimes I wonder what would happen if MLP met MTG (I have no experience with the latter but it is a Trash Heap obsession!). Wizards of the Coast is owned by Hasbro, after all.

I notice pegasi seem less involved in "classy" affairs (e.g. Canterlot society) than the other two races. I've seen it theorized that enough of the population lives in Cloudsdale to leave them kind of rare elsewhere, but I'm not sure why Canterlot is one of those places.
Canterlot seems to have mostly unicorns. Pegasi appear to me to be the least interested in higher culture, generally. The warrior culture for them seems to have translated in the modern day to sports. Even earth ponies that aren't especially fond of high culture seem to still be concerned about etiquette when it's relevant. Except Pinkie Pie, who probably has a social disorder.
I think unicorns are more involved with high society because they're generally the educated class, which means their job skills have more market value and they have more disposable income, of course there are also those who are born into money who don't likely have much in the way of important work they can do. It's easy to draw parallels to real life.
Basically. Renegade actions give you a reputation as ruthless, but you're still seen as the good guy (like Dirty Harry vs....Commissioner Gordon, I guess)
It's a reference to Mass Effect, where you can be a "Paragon" or "Renegade". Both are still heroic, but it's like the difference between Superman or Batman. (Basically, are you going to ask nicely or punch them in the face.)

I'm guessing the pegasi stay apart from the others because they're the only ones who can walk on the clouds without magic.

"Renegade Actions" are basically bad karma? Is that it?
