That's odd, it was pretty clear when I violated their copyright policy when they took down the cover I did of "I'm Not Alone" from forever ago on my old account.
it feels maybe more . . . idk if this is the word but, conceptual than the others? there's a certain mood sustained throughout
i mean that's the case with all your most recent albums, but i especially felt that way about this one; some of the tracks stand in isolation but it's really one complete work

I think I'm finally ready to make this formal: my third album is called Elsewise, and it will probably be out before the end of the year.
The regular version of the cover looks like this:
(and for those of you who wanted the name to be on my forehead, stay tuned)
I'm not entirely certain how long I'm aiming for it to be, but eight of the tracks are done:
Regards. (from w/r/t)
Sovereign
Mootpoint (from w/r/t)
I'll See You
There.
Can You Hear Me?
Hella Hello
Otherwhere
Since most of the finished tracks are out on Soundcloud already I don't know if I'm going to put any more singles out beyond the realm of Audiotool until it's finished, but I just wanted to make other peeps aware that it's a Thing That Will Exist.
Seems a bit lower-key than your Magic Planet work, but I like that! Keeps things diverse.
Also I finally managed to make the Skullboy Tumblr not look like shit anymore! Finding a good theme took longer than I wanted, but I'm pretty happy with the end result.
(I'm also going to probably update the headers and posts on it with each of our releases going forward; right now it's pimping Welcome To Kingsfield and a little bit of Elsewise.)
@Corvina: You should definitely continue putting your stuff here! I know I haven't said very much in response to it, but that's not a knock against it at all; rather, I feel like my input might not be very valuable because I don't have much of any expertise or listening experience with the genres your work falls under. (You're not the only person here that makes music that this applies to, either, and I'm sure my stuff makes other people feel similarly.)
Oh why do I even post here no one ever responds to my posts. Perhaps I ought to just open a personal thread for Knight of Swords demos
okay so i listened to your track up there and please don't think i'm getting at you or anything but if you do really want feedback then i think it needs a fair bit of work. first off it doesn't really go anywhere melodically, it's basically 8 and a half minutes of the same chord progression & melody with just some elements dropping in and out. that can work as a track but i think you need a very strong rhythm or melody to the piece to be able to do that and more varied dynamics which your track doesn't really have. some lyrics could make it more interesting but even then i'd say you either need to vary it more melodically or you need to cut the length of the song down. i thought there were some issues of timing on the guitar (?) which sounded off sometimes and with your production because the bass was clipping a lot when it first came in which is something you want to avoid. a lot of your keyboards sounded really distant and i couldn't really make anything of it out at all.
for some more inspiration of where to go with this i would say try listening to the song below which is a long, lo-fi, gothy influenced track, so it's doing what you're trying to do, and even has a similar kind of beat with a delay that youve got going on, listen to their sound and production and the way the song has a clear progression and think how you could apply stuff like that to what you have up there because really it just didn't grab me at all *shrug*
For context: my inspiration was The Reptile House EP; this is to be part of a similar project, Mystery Babylon. I was planning to add vocals from the 5 minute mark onwards.
I really like this. I was kinda disappointed it wasn't longer, but it has a vibe I really enjoy. I'm no good at going into technical detail, but as soon as it started playing, my reaction was "ooooh!"

Maybe they've just stopped doing so since then.

Assassin poems, Poems that shoot
guns. Poems that wrestle cops into alleys
and take their weapons leaving them dead
it's subtle
Alright, I lied. New track on Monday, because it's my birthday and it would be weird if I didn't put anything out after doing so last year.

pretty otherwise tho
i actually managed to write a good bassline, and then write a chord progression/melody that worked with it nicely

I know I ought to just finish up the lyrics for my last song for "Accolade", but I felt like starting work on my next EP, "Mystery Babylon"
