That reminds me of the Final Fantasy III boss that you need to defeat to become a paladin. It took me forever to figure out that I needed to let 'em beat the crap out of me.

At least, I think that's the right class. And number. Too many Final Fantasy games to be sure.

X-Files had an episode that lampooned "Jack-ass", it had a fake show that was called "Dumb Ass".

For unrelated reasons, it was one of the few X-Files episodes Friday and I labeled "so bad, we're not even going to finish it."

My favor8 X-Files was always "Pusher".

"Pusher" was good and the sequel episode wasn't to bad either.

"Lord of the Flies" was the episode I was talking about.

Friday and I also got bored of "Killswitch" and "First Person Shooter". Both episodes in which the writers just assumed computers could do anything.

"Salvage" might have been THE worst thing I've ever sat through. The next episode, "Badlaa" wasn't much better. Decent premise, horrible execution.

Lots of very bad stuff in Season 8. Season 9 is not shaping up to be much better.
