JZ: In my admittedly limited experience, Mario Kart 64 seems to be the most famous and nostalgic, so that would be my first guess.

I feel like I should try getting good at Mario Kart 64. The two console titles after it are more luck-based, spontaneous, and could charitably be called Blue Shells.
MK64 does require a lot more than skill than luck. Albeit, the skill factor is a bit harsh.
But still, I find it the most fun game. I like the roster of Double Dash the most, though. Petey Piranha I would've changed out, if any, though. I like the rest. :D
