So you hate "Love of country; devotion to the welfare of one's country; the virtues and actions of a patriot; the passion which inspires one to serve one's country"?
The princess shall indeed grow in grace and beauty, beloved by all who know her. But, before the sun sets on her sixteenth birthday, she shall prick her BOOB on the spindle of a spinning wheel and die.
I don't think nationalism and patriotism are words used in ways that are different enough to make a satisfying distinction other than that patriotism is "good" and nationalism is "bad".
Anyway, I don't think it's a bad thing by any means to love your country, but I think it's important for people to be loyal to humanity as a whole more than to just the portion that shares the same citizenship status as you.

Re: nationalism and patriotism, I'm kind of ambivalent in my attitude towards both, but I don't hate either when they're not being used as a euphemism for jingoism, racism or fascism (which they often are). Nationalism doesn't mean bad, though; I know some Irish nationalists who are pretty cool and there are a fair few Welsh nationalist bars around here where the people there are fine so long as you don't do anything stupid or disrespectful. All it literally means is loyalty to a nation, which I think is harmless so long as you don't go overboard with it.
That said, while I like a lot of things about Britain and England, I find it difficult to feel positively about either of them in the abstract.
And my animal would naturally be a pony, but that's obviously taken, so I guess it boils down to fairy or chicken? Not the most inspiring choice.
Remember back in the 50s when they'd record like Elvis singing YOU AIN'T NOTHIN BUT A HOUND DOG and then they'd turn the record over and reverse it and it was all NYERP NYERP NYERP NYERP NYERP and people were all like, "That is actually the voice of Satan coming from that song."
So, thus far we have:
13 mammals (I would assume ice fairies are mammals)
5 invertebrates: 2 mollusks, a crustacean, an arachnid, and a jellyfish
4 birds
1 reptile
1 dragon (I count those separately from reptiles, since there's so many differences between certain dragon legends)
no fish (no, the Wind Fish doesn't count) or amphibians

Looking back at the fantasy pantheon god I wrote up, I kind of want to change the last sentence. I was trying to make it clear that the ProfessorGator god knew powerful hexes in case he ever needed to use them, but I think it came across the wrong way.

I was assuming that since fairies were humanoid creatures, they would probably have the same anatomical traits as humans. I think that's where Ombre is coming from.
^ Yes. Though I think the misunderstanding here is probably that Crmirnauc (like many others here) is defining "fairy" as "small, humanoid creature with insect wings", which actually falls under the umbrella definition of "pixie".

I was thinking of the games though, so chill.

There seems to be a bit of a skew in diversity.i get so angry sometimes i just punch plankton --Klinotaxis
Hell, I even mentioned insects
You must have quite a different idea of what a fairy is than I do, that much is sure.
^ I know a faerie can be defined more broadly. I'm just assuming they mean a pixie and going off of that definition
