My favorite radio show is The Adventure Zone, I always make sure to sit myself down at the radio right at 6 at night every other friday. I wait for the ol' vaccuum tubes to warm up and listen to those grand adventures with those nice McElroy boys.
I'm glad the McElroy train has finally pulled into the Heap station
I've been a fan for a good while now (remember Joystiq.com? I DO), but like many I only really got the chance to discover their wealth of content in full around the butt of last year when Car Boys became a Thing
also I'm sure I've told this story but it warrants repeating because it's gr9
I emailed Justin for an assignment in my first ever journalism class to ask him how he got to where he was then, and he wrote me back the sweetest letter ever about how he grew up in West Virginia and had gigs as a kid working on video game reporting on the local newscasts in Huntington and how it had been a love of his that just evolved into his work for Polygon and whatnot
it was incredible, and since then I've just been watching him and his bros (and Nick) get big with their Polygon shows and MBMBAM and it makes me hope one day I'll be able to reach those heights 😊
You are the end result of a “would you push the button” prompt where the prompt was “you have unlimited godlike powers but you appear to all and sundry to be an impetuous child” – Zero, 2022
It's a podcast that Justin, Griffin and Travis do every week. You can find that here. It's wonderful.
It is also a TV show, streaming on a service called Seeso. (It's $4 a month, but there's a week long trial and they put one of the six episodes up for free on YouTube.)
