You are the end result of a “would you push the button” prompt where the prompt was “you have unlimited godlike powers but you appear to all and sundry to be an impetuous child” – Zero, 2022
Ok, question: was the rest of this game actually this hilariously bad? Because if so, I might have to ask for a link to this video.
Alex's extensive gun nerdery is actually pretty fun imo
also this is one of the few "making fun of bad things" things i enjoy because they'll actually give things a fair shake and be positive if a sincere effort and thought went into making a game
For example, they were generally pretty respectful towards Unearthed: Trail of Ibn Battuta and Nightfall: Escape for example
also watching this may not give the best impression of LRR as a whole, they have a bunch of stuff that's actually dedicated to playing good games, and they're definitely one of the few letsplay people/groups/whatever ive come to stick with, because they have lots of fairly nuanced stuff to say about things
I am almost positive the guy in the hat is a trump supporter
I can see where you're pulling that assumption from, but the thing to keep in mind is that the LRR folks are Canadian. Stereotypically American rightist gun nuts certainly exist in Canada, but the culture is very, very different overall.
What I'm trying to say is that Alex and company are SJW hippie scum and I love them.
Also what is the name of this series / these people actually cuz I see like four things on this twitch page
This is Alex and Ben, this particular show is Lets Nope, the channel as a whole is Loading Ready Run
Quick breakdown: Loading Ready Run is an internet comedy troupe thing that has been around since 2003, they're most famous for a yearly charity stream they do where they play Desert Bus, and official content they do for MTG.
Streams they do on twitch that i like:
* Watch + Play: Graham and Alex play the worst video games the internet has to offer, though sometimes they'll play good things that are weird
* Lets Nope: Alex and a guest host play horror games (usually good ones, this week is a definite exception)
* Talking Simulator: Cam and Alex play a video game, and talk about the game mechanics, storytelling, literary theory as it applies to games (Cam is my fave LRR person, he's pretty smart and has lots of good stuff to say)
I just kind of don't like the "the most important thing wrt succeeding in any medium is just getting stuff done" line because that's only really the first step to being successful at something and advice on what to do after you've done things is sorely lacking.
I think people take their own success and spin it into a universal truth, which it's not.
The thing is that steps after that tend to require fairly intense specifics, all of which are predicated on that first step of actually having something to continue forward with.
