My money is on "hate" given that it's Shyamalan and that it, at first glance, appears to be a horribly reductive take on depicting DID.
I don't know if the actual film does a better job of making it clear that having the disorder isn't equivalent to becoming a Horror Movie Villain, but the fact that I have to say that at all kind of makes it clear that the premise in and of itself is kind of inherently flawed
