  Last year my resolution was to make any tiny bit of progress whatsoever wrt transition and that didn't happen so

  I have family in the vicinity of Chicago. (Does an hour's drive away count as "the vicinity"?) There's plenty of cool stuff in the city, but I don't know if I could stand the climate.

  I made my resolution a few weeks early but I'm going to try to be as objective as I can with regard to brands (particularly those in my wheelhouse of consumer electronics and video games) and leave my fanboy ways behind me

  
  I'm making heavier use of Microsoft things than before now thanks to my Xbox and it hasn't been bad thus far, so we'll see how it goes long-term
