the thing that always got me about Song of the South was that the thing is still iconic c/o Splash Mountain and "Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Dah" but they refuse to unearth even a censored version of the film itself
like, the aversion of the "all or nothing" censorship approach makes it an interesting case
I've learned to tolerate drama...except on the boat
I remember reading that Song of the South was re-released theatrically in 1980 and that was the last time it ever saw any sort of authorized distribution
