I honestly don't understand how so many of y'all are able to avoid extremely popular people
anyway,
J. Cole is a rapper. He went platinum with no features (which is a meme, but also is actually true), he made a song about Kanye West and Wale that many people took as a diss (including Wale himself).
He's a very uninteresting artist which is why people dunk on him, cuz he's an easy target.
Well, he's a rapper, mostly but not exclusively of the storytelling/conscious rap type. Think along the lines of Kendrick Lamar and you'll have the right basic idea (though Cole's music tends to be a bit more focused on personal experiences than K.Dot's, which instead alternates between that and more societal criticism)
no idea what the deal with furry Twitter is, but he's putting a new album out soon
I like him, but I'm from the same general place as him and my sister enjoys his work thoroughly so I guess I'd be inclined to think more positively of him.
He puts on a good show, too. He brought one of his Dollar and a Dream tours to Raleigh and did the entirety of his first mixtape to really hit it big, along with a few of his later hits at the end.
i take it that the usual way to get platinum is to get a feature from someone already famous then?
that's kinda strange NGL
Features boost sales, like having a big name actor in your indie movie or something. It's not going to magically get you famous because you're probably known already—being featured on somebody else's track is more likely to do that—but it does help an album get more eyes on it.
Does Furry Twitter like Lil Yachty now? I'm confused.
Minute Watercraft is internet popular so it wouldn't surprise me.
He seems like a nice kid but I can't stand his music for the most part. DRAM is better at that style in my opinion, so's Chance The Rapper but he has a wider range of sounds.

Assassin poems, Poems that shoot

and take their weapons leaving them dead
