i feel like "light takes time to traverse space" is not really the best characterization of special relativity, but i'm not sure what i'd rather say... i guess it's more like time doesn't real.
also 'gravity has a travel time' is more like 'the distortion of space that is gravity does not apply everywhere at once', but that doesn't really do it either
Translated into the language of spacetime: the straight time-like lines that define a gravity-free inertial frame are deformed to lines that are curved relative to each other, suggesting that the inclusion of gravity necessitates a change in spacetime geometry.
every person's body is a time-traveling machine because neural signals take longer to travel from the foot to the brain than from the ear to the brain but we can still touch our ear and our big toe at the same time
