  “I'm surprised. Those clothes… but, aren't you…?”

  The irony here is that the ending of the piece suggests that Palmer herself had entirely won her initially critical interviewer over, and I think that says more about what kind of person she is than the controversies surrounding her. And, y'know, why she's married to Neil Gaiman, who is atrociously nice.
