But it's ok, because any abandoned location you might visit is sure to have plenty of replacement batteries lying around.

    in half life your flashlight lasts a little while and then recharges from your power armor, which kind of makes sense though it's a shitty design (armorwise, not gamewise). it was also originally tied to your sprint meter, which makes less sense.

    you could think that the sprinting has to be power assisted because of the weight of the armor, but that raises strange questions about relative power consumption.
