Although I allow for sneering at Hot Topic-esque stuff when it comes to Hot Topic Satan Hecatia Lapislazuli, as portraying her like a dork is great.

I never went in one back when it was really a Thing so I can't say what it was like, but these days they're full of like, Steven Universe merchandise. It seems like an okay store honestly.

then again i was never a fashion person and never really particularly went out shopping for clothes

The "problem" is that it's representative of some group somewhere which totally exists, when they're not actually just potentially insecure high school kids, and that is bad and wrong.
