  honestly all joking aside the brokeness of The United States Congress is both greater on a fundamental level and far more impactful than the brokeness of TVTropes' coding.

  tv tropes is horrible but its horribleness is really only important in reference to tv shows and shit.  like, not to trivialise it, but it's less impactful than whatever the fuck moffat is up to.

  I didn't mean to imply that they were equally impactful, just equally broken. Obviously a website that's fundamentally broken has way less potential to do damage than a system of government that's fundamentally broken, but that doesn't mean it's less broken, just less important.
