Fricking fricatives.

So, consonant sounds are mainly differentiated by three things. There's voicing, which says whether or not your vocal cords are vibrating. B is a voiced consonant, and P is the unvoiced equivalent. Then there's place of articulation, which is all about where the sound is formed. K is a velar sound because it is produced by the tongue touching the back of your throat- the velum- and P is a similar sound which is articulated bilabially- with your two lips. Manner of articulation has to do with how the airstream is obstructed by the articulators. S is a fricative because it has its articulators close together to cause the flow of air to be narrow. T is the corresponding consonant sound with the same voicing and placement, but differs in manner as a plosive or stop by fully obstructing the flow of air and then releasing it.

So I was wondering if farts could be described as anal fricatives.
