  English scones are apparently inedible plain, but delightful with jam and clotted cream. That is all I know.
  
  Traditionally, at least. Apparently really good scones exist. And I've had weird doctored American ones that were pretty nice plain. But still, the toppings are essential.

  Scones are a bit too dry for my liking. I know they're not meant to be eaten alone, but even with stuff on 'em, they just don't quite do it for me. v_v
