Yeah so I found a bootleg livestream of TV Tokyo, one of Japan's more prominent television stations.

I have been intermittently watching it all day, just taking a peek at it from time to time.

Mind you I don't speak a lick of Japanese so I have no idea what any of this stuff actually is, just gotta use context clues.

Right now this is on, 's some kinda variety show with terrifying mascots.

an important component of this program is touching the box cat

notable commercials so far have included an Evangelion phone game (???) and a Charlie Chaplin DVD boxset (?!?!?!)

my sister used to get these VHS tapes* of stuff taped right off of Japanese TV

we saw some weird stuff on those, although I can't remember any of it

*yes, it was that long ago
