Mine is pretty unimpressive. You know it's the height of the ringtone rap era when "This Is Why I'm Hot" was at the top of the charts.
There's a couple songs I don't honestly recognize on here. "Here" by Hellogoodbye? There's also some that I forgot about until now (I don't think there has ever been a single Blue October fan on the planet but "Into The Ocean" was popular for a while).
Also "King Kong" by Jibbs and Chamillionaire is on here, that has to count for something.
liked it but never really got into Jay Sean (and Lil Wayne is hit or miss)
liked the song but it got overplayed to all hell and I loathe Miley now
Jay-Z's not bad, I wanted to marry Rihanna in my younger years, and Kanye is an ass but his music is Good
some Derulo songs are okay but he can't sing live worth a shit
I actually did have a BEP phase during the END era so that one's actually kind of accurate
Gaga's not bad, not my Favorite and I don't hail her as The True Gay Icon but she is capable of cranking out some great tunes
I only actually started enjoying Taylor in earnest once she cut the country shit and went full pop; I think her stance on streaming and the distribution of her music is self-centered and toxic, however, and while I've gotten over the whole shaming her for her relationships thing I still feel like there's a certain degree of pettiness to airing out all of her dirty laundry in her work
Mariah's okay, and Obsessed actually is one of my favorites by her (though it has nothing on All I Want For Christmas Is You or her stuff from The Emancipation of Mimi)

Now that I think about it, that's an American chart so it isn't even the one that should theoretically impact my music preferences or whatever. Apparently the Canadian Hot 100 didn't exist yet when I was 13 though? I don't know what other chart might have existed at the time instead.
Looking at these songs, if anything, my tastes have been defined in opposition to stuff like this. I dimly remember "1, 2 Step" in a not entirely negative light but I barely remember it at all.

of my life trying to learn the dance for "1, 2, Step"

no
see #3, also Alicia isn't bad
(no. 11 is more reflective of my taste than any of these)
I'm pretty sure that at that age I actually paid less attention to pop music than I do now.

Eww, Chris Brown.
Besides Gnarls and Panic!, it's all tumbleweeds for me.
oh jeez
and even then, i was raiding my dad's collection for old rap albums and 70s prog, i didn't really seek out new music until i was 17
I think the only songs I've ever heard on this are "When I'm gone" and "Bother".
ironically, this selection looks closer to my interests than the UK chart
