  and take their weapons leaving them dead

  Meeseeks have no sense of personal protection, as they both cannot die under normal circumstances and have no fear of death.

  The stand has the ability to summon them, but they are not the stand. 

  
  

  Like how in Part 6, Sky High lets one control and direct rods but the rods themselves are not the stand
