You are the end result of a “would you push the button” prompt where the prompt was “you have unlimited godlike powers but you appear to all and sundry to be an impetuous child” – Zero, 2022
I feel like to qualify as a cyborg you should have to have started as an organic lifeform who was later enhanced with machinery, not the other way around.
I'm sure this makes me some kind of science fiction racist.
^ That's better than going with the idea I was mulling over: "orgernetic" or something that used the same two words, only in the opposite order. (Now that I've typed it and read it, it sounds more like something you'd use for sex than it does a terminator. Although I suppose you could use a terminator for sex...)
In the Sam & Fuzzy RPG, there are actually feats for robots who want to change their robot parts to fleshy parts (as well as ones for fleshy ones to change their parts into robot parts). You still get the intrinsic bonuses of being robots/fleshy ones until you change all of your parts, at which point you effectively switch classes
Asimov played with this idea a bunch. (Bicentennial Man being based on an Asimov novel with which it shares almost nothing other than that premise, iirc.)
