Ok, something that's bugging me about timeline/dimension stuff (whole game spoilers + spoilers for the postgame Ultra Beast sidequest):
We know of 7 Fallers: You, Lillie, Lusamine, Guzma, Anabel, Mohn, and Looker's dead partner. The first 4 all entered an Ultra Wormhole with the assistance of Nebby, and came out of it mostly fine. For the other 3, who didn't have Nebby to help them, Falling caused them to land in a random place, and wiped their memories.
Now here's the thing: This also happened to Looker in ORAS, implying that he's a Faller too. The thing is, the Looker in SuMo isn't a Faller. Which means one of two things: A) ORAS and SuMo are different timelines, meaning we have at least 3 timelines (OG timeline, which exploded, the ORAS timeline, and the SuMo timeline) or B) there are two Lookers running around in one timeline.
Apparently, you can lose your first fight against Lusamine, and the story will still progress...
Can't say I don't like this fact as it made the plot moment feel natural. We were both down to our last pokemon, but a Salazzle at 1 HP stood no chance against her Milotic...
