i think this is how this kind of thing ultimately works: you have like, a delicious creamy crackpot center of idiological zanyness, and as they try to disperse their ideas, the least crazy ones are the ones that go the farthest

so ultimately the end result of all of this is a bunch of people being low-key worried about Skynet or whatever, and also Ed runs off with the money of easily spooked libertarians
