I liked the first Iron Man film and I kinda want to see Guardians of the Galaxy just to see what I missed out on during my mental fog last year, but otherwise, I don't care.
I think the MCU is starting to hit that saturation point where you can like a few of the entries without having to be invested in the Whole Damned Universe. Like, I'm excited for Guardians Vol. 2 and the Ant-Man sequel, though I wouldn't necessarily mind seeing the rest they have in the pipe as well.
Which isn't to say I think the series is perfect, or anything. Far from it. (I'm annoyed that they chose to adapt Civil War, for one, and the fact that they had the opportunity to do Spider-Man differently but were 'contractually obligated' to stick with the exact Peter Parker narrative we've seen twice now is gag-inducing).
I talked about that article with Section a bit elsewhere. I think Moviebob has something of a point, but he argues it in a stupid and needlessly inflammatory manner.

I pretty much agree.
That seems to be par-for-the-course with Moviebob, from what I've seen.
Vaguely related thing: Can we stop doing the "Critic X gave five stars to HATED THING but only 1.5 stars to LOVED THING how can we take them seriously"?
Every critic worth their salt has loved a hated thing and hated a loved thing, not all of them are Armond White

and take their weapons leaving them dead

like, they're OK, as far as i've seen, but kind of bland

Like most good critics he's also dead wrong a solid portion of the time, but he's a very interesting person to follow

I don't even stan for Kanye that hard (if, like, at all), but Jesus, did we hear the same album?
