    I get the feeling the problem is not someone doing what Rob Schneider is doing, so much as specifically Rob Schneider doing it.

    Which partly describes his impact on just about every movie he's in, really.

    I saw some early stand-up Rob Schneider did, and he was actually very funny in a droll, self-deprecating way, so it's not like he can't be funny. I mean, it's probably at least partly that he is acting rather than simply making jokes and wry observations, but I think he also just chooses some really, really bad scripts and roles.

    I think the only role I've ever seen him in that didn't actively detract from the movie was the XO in Down Periscope.  And at least then they had the good sense to make him a bad guy and kick him off the sub.

    Honestly, the main problem is that no one will hire him other than Adam Sandler.
