Yep, although in order to save face MS opted to market Edge as a new browser entirely in lieu of outright making it an update to IE
as such, it is possible for one to have both installed on Windows 10, though if you still choose to use IE on that OS (or maybe even just in general?) it comes up with a page telling you to make the switch

@Tre: From what I've read, the rationale for even keeping IE 11 in Windows 10 was that there are a lot of broken corporate intranet sites and such that still rely on IE-only functionality, and Edge, despite being based on the same code, is different enough to break compatibility with those.

Corporate sites often still require IE8 or even further back because they license environments for longer than it takes not only the browser, but all of the standards and quirks that the browser is built on, to become utterly deprecated.
Of course, it doesn't help that IE keeps sabotaging its own UA string to keep people from detecting and handling its brokenness. Or setting deceptive variables like window.chrome to trick browser-sniffing code into running shit that won't work with it. Or that it keeps taking all these fucking incremental steps toward standards instead of just getting there like FF/Chrome did, forcing developers to write new branches for every goddamn version.

Me neither, but I get my own house apparently, so I'm cool with that.
Also, Marquis is funnier than Count Palatine, which would arguably be more accurate given the lack of war insofar as I can discern. But then, either way we are apparently subject to a Fürstin.

The question is...does Marquis Sredni-Whose-Full-Title-I-Can't-Remember-At-4-AM have magic powers??

Because otherwise it defeats the purpose of my being a Marquis and having an elaborate Gothic château.
I forgot about this detail, since I gave Section & Sorrow their own, and thus they're the first ones I associate with... whatever type of housing it is/was exactly.
also the wysiwyg editor is pretty suck for two reasons:
1. cannot apply formatting without using mouse cursor 2. funniness (of the bad kind) in copying stuff out of it -- it retains its own line breaks and thus produces new ones when actually posted. these line breaks are not reflected in the preview though, so it is not actually WYSIWYG.
that's true, i should have distinguished between, on the one hand, not WYSIWYG but a 1:1 correspondence between WYS and WYG exists (Youtube embeds, spoiler tags), and on the other, What You See Is Not Even A Reliable Indicator Of What You Get (line breaks, quotes)

the way spoiler tags and youtube embeds work is also not WYSIWYG, plus there's the issues with the quotes
The line break issue is not even visible in editing view. It only shows up in raw HTML view and when it's posted.
