In preparation for buying Marvel, NBC had its film subsidiaries give up any Marvel rights they still held: New Line had to hand over Blade and Deadpool, while Universal handed back the Hulk and Namor. It's been over eight years since Marvel became part of NBC Turner/National Universal. Surely, it's been able to cut through the red tape of Sony and 20th Century Fox.
