  I drive a 1991 Mercury Topaz that I've put at least $1000 into in repairs in the 7 months I've had it, so...

  
  

  It has less than 100,000 miles on it, which is both a curse and a blessing because it means it's got a lot of life left in it but also means it spent a big chunk of its life not being driven, which leads to problems of its own.
