i quit facebook cuz it was annoying me too much, but i've considered going back just because several times now i've been told about a job going only to find that the only way to apply is to message them on facebook . . .
I keep Facebook around to occasionally check on my relatives and a few school folk, talk to one of my friends from TVT who either got banned or left (I forget which), and for my primary friend group at college's group chat, but beyond that it's mostly just... there.
Instagram is basically always just there, as is Snapchat. I like Twitter but it isn't my favorite, primarily because of the character limit.
The social networking site I'm probably going to be most ashamed of when I actually become a proper member of society is Tumblr, because I've literally been there since I was 12 and for a while it was my primary choice to vent, though I've done so more here too lately. Despite recognizing it as being a cluster I still have ties to the community and consider it an important part of my life on the Internet as a whole-- for all that I moan about how terrible it is, no other place has been able to replicate it for me.

in the case of tumblr, it's good for fanart
