Doctor Who reference in Pokemon B2W2? Headcanon accepted.
Just a PC running mame, nothing fancy in the hardware department. I'm more concerned about the outward presentation, hence hunting down old CRTs to fit into there

Chef's Mother from the Five Singers REstaurant Wiki
Chef's Mother was the owner and head chef of Oxford Comma's Bar and Grill in Tennessee, prior to the restaurant's closure in 2000.
Oxford Comma's Bar and Grill
For many years, Chef's mother owned Oxford Comma's Bar and Grill, a restaurant located off Interstate 75 in Tennessee. The restaurant positioned itself as a family dining joint for Interstate travellers, with a menu designed entirely by Chef's Mother, who was herself a chef.
As Chef's Mother was a prominent pro-spice lobbyist of the era, Oxford Comma's regularly served spicy food, and the restaurant's slogan was "Tennessee's finest, even if it's sometimes spicy." This angered anti-spice lobbyists, who staged a statewide boycott of the restaurant beginning in 1998. In July 2000, due to a decline in patronage and a poor reputation among anti-spice Tennesseans, Chef's Mother was forced to close Oxford Comma's.
In May 2012, Oxford Comma's was revisited by Chef and Waiterman, who hoped to use it as temporary employment while The Five Singers REstauratnt was closed for repairs. Chef was disappointed to find the restaurant had closed over a decade prior.
Non-Canon Theater with Central Avenue
Chef's Mother was featured in a 2011 episode of Non-Canon Theater with Central Avenue. In the episode, Chef's Mother goes before The Rich and Powerful Princess Mary Sue Central Avenue to request a scholarship for Chef to attend Culinary And Also Accounting School. However, the Princess was displeased with Chef's Mother's choice to name her son "Chef", and used a flash of blinding light to seal Chef's Mother, along with her husband and her secret girlfriend, into the Ubuntu logo forever more. It is hinted that the three may be released if the mythical Five Singers are ever reunited.

Heh, someone (Juan) made one of me once, too!
...I have no idea what any of that means, but it looks cool!

Clearly we must gather more of these and then make a Trash Heap trading card game.
I actually tried making a trading card game at one point, but I gave up. Do you know how pointlessly hard it is to get ahold of even MS Paint-level TCG-making software? It's insane.

Prince Zuko has a lisp
For some reason that's that first thing I noticed about him

So anyway, I just remembered some transcoding I've been meaning to do for my Mom, but never bothered because it would have been terribly slow on the low-end, Core 2 era PCs I had then. Now that I have Sandy Bridge Core i7, I'm willing to try again....but it turns out that the guy who runs debian-multimedia (or what used to be that before Debian yelled at him about it) is being a Schilling-level asshole about giving them the old domain, and there's a bunch of politics involved and comments from the peanut gallery and I DON'T NEED THIS. FUCK ALL THESE PEOPLE. >:P
I was going to install HandBrake from there, since it makes things that much easier, but oh well. I guess I get to pretend this is fucking Solaris and chase the dependencies for HandBrake myself, or just deal with the fresh hell that is using ffmpeg directly. >:P

BIRD IS THE WORD
Exhaustion has really caught up with me.
What will that....do, exactly?
