Yes, but considering the fact that you tend to be excessively dismissive and close minded during such conversations, I, as a person who does not like being called a "facist", would simply not post in it at all.

I never once called you a fascist, all I said was that I felt that many of the GOP policies (all of them social policies) were comparable to Euro-Fascism.

TBH, while this will probably sound like hypocrisy given some of the statements I've made on TVT in the past, I think that's a very limited and unnuanced way to look at things, and suggests to me that you don't know what you're talking about. "Fascist" is a serious accusation and should never be applied inaccurately or thrown about too freely.
Yes I know its a serious accusation, but its something I would never call Naney as I know he really isn't one. However, Hungary, which is seen here as a Neo-Fascist state recently changed their constitution so it defined marriage as an union specifically between a man and woman, and they explicitly forbade abortion in the same clause. More than a few GOP presidential hopefuls have said they wanted to do the same thing no?
I think my dislike of politic-talk is upsetting people?? But politics just makes everyone upset. :/
I for one wouldn't have a problem with you disliking it if you were happy to live and let live, rather than attempt to disrupt political discussions.
And IMO politics doesn't have to make people upset if people can be adults about it. Admittedly a lot of the time the subject itself is a bit grim, but when that happens it's going to upset people whether they talk about it or not, so forcing people to shut up about it isn't exactly going to help matters.
There is a real world out there, beyond Internet forums and entertainment media, and it won't go away or leave you alone just because you stick your fingers in your ears.

edit: Off to bed now.
Yeah, but that doesn't make the comparison valid. Even if it's technically a similarity it's still a horribly loaded comparison.
The characterization of Hungary itself as "fascist" also strikes me as a dangerous oversimplification at best.
Lumine, w're not going to form lifelong grudges just because we disagree on whether the G.O.P is fascist. We can all have heated debates on politics and still have fun and watch MLP afterwards.
Doctor Who reference in Pokemon B2W2? Headcanon accepted.
If it's in regards to this whole angry Unions/Wisconsin/recall business, I'll add my two cents
I grew up in a union household with a father who lived/eat/breathed union ideals. To drive the point the home, one day he threw a fit because it was a Sunday, no liquor sales in town, he wanted some beer so I gave him mine -- and he threw a fit because the free beer I gave him wasn't union made. His friends were representative of his job, as well.
Which is why I'm a union-hating Republican. I'd rather trust the government any day of the week to handle my employee welfare concerns over a bunch of near-illiterate racist thugs who keep their ranks filled only by nepotism and self-interest.
Yeah but nobody's going to want to seriously discuss politics when doing such gets lumped in with whining about TVT.
^ I'm not a member of any union, but my father is and my experience of union members has been largely positive. I don't think the issue is nearly as cut-and-dried as you're suggesting.
Of course, my anecdotal evidence vs yours is not a productive argument.
Watch as any general politics thread becomes "American politics only, Brits welcome but will be ignored, everyone else can fuck off" in the space of under a page.

And good night.

At least, that's how it would go on TVT...
