Honestly, I'm just not fond of the view that corporations like McDonalds should be able to get away with what they do because people buy it even though they know it isn't healthy.
As it would require such a massive and unrealistic change in public psychology to get people to stop eating unhealthy foods and to put forth the unreasonable amount of effort now required to eat healthily that agency should fall on the companies who sell unhealthy foods.

also you can get away with eating almost anything as long as you exercise often and take the right vitamin supplements, but people generally don't have time for or don't want to do the former and lack the money for the latter.
