More people have said that and been killed than there are thorium decay products.
I like that Raocow art(!!). :D
ko you should live near enough to the Atlantic ocean, yes? ^_^ Maybe we will discover an undiscovered beach! Goodness, I love beaches. I love sand. I love the ocean. :D
I have to admit, the 'why do rappers get away with it' isn't too far off from the truth, in that pop culture has a history of glorifying black crime, what with the prison-derived sagging style and whatnot. And black communities would be better off if the media didn't focus on black, famous people going to jail.
But he's ignoring the history that black people have with the police, and the social issues that created the NWA, and the fact that white crime is arguably more glorified than black crime (see the Sopranos, Breaking Bad, etc.). He basically skimmed the top of the pudding bowl and acts like he ate the whole thing. Which really sums up all of his articles.

I sometimes find myself wishing I could go back and see my hometown in the 1950s or 1960s.
But at the same time I know someone like me wouldn't really be welcomed in that decade...I jokingly suggested that I need Marigold's SHIELD OF BORINGNESS if I were to ever go back in time.

For some reason despite loving works like Back to the Future and Doctor Who, I never really think about time travel all that much.
I always found it interesting, though, that the latter tends to rely on time travel less as a plot element and more as an excuse to provide a new setting for each episode. Yes, they'll be in 1865 London one week and 1923 New York the next, but for the most part each story is contained within a specific time and place.

I know / think less about racial issues than I should.>_>
Same. Well, that really could apply to me for most important issues. I really don't know enough about too many things.
same. Hence my reluctance to discuss important issues online. >_>
Again, same here. That and I get more out of a discussion reading other people's opinions on subjects than I do giving my own opinions (well, most of the time anyway). Plus, the few times I've actually ventured to give my opinion, I either can't adequately communicate what I want to say with the level of nuance I want or I shove my foot in my mouth.
In another news, my sister's flight back from Canada was cancelled because of stormy weather in Toronto and we've spent over an hour and a half on hold trying to get a new flight booked. Kinda miffed at that.
I don't like time travel because it can easily create problems with pacing and tension in a story.
Ah, yes, the old issue of "you have a time machine; just do whatever and make sure that someone time travels back if you screw up!". Also known as the Time Turner Conundrum of Harry Potter.
Thanks to all the programming stuff I've been doing recently, Ctrl s has become such instinctive reaction to typing things that I unconsciously use the command when I'm editing any forum post.
It's remarkable how flimsy the Potterverse is upon closer examination.
What with the Polyjuice Potions and the Imperius Curse and a number of other mind-altering/shapeshifting spells, you can wake up with no memory of the last few months and your entire family replaced by house elves. Not that it would matter, since you could just time turn everything back again.

I really wish I had a rapper as a committed artistic partner at times like this. Micheal Quirk's "Lonely Man in Blue" is too saccharine not to flip into an anti-police anthem.

Black people love American football and basketball. They're virtually interchangeable. You idiot.
That picture was drawn by Raocow, apparently.
Or enemies.
Or people he interacts with.

the Atlantic Ocean has got to be a day's drive away at least.

^ Isn't that already covered in the LGBT Thread?

We should have never let tropers make pages about real people.

my mind is already overloaded by Time, death, art, literature, music, gender, bacon, cows, and dirty pillows.
Which is Time, natch
There are exceptions, though.

The movie and the show, both
Ah well. It was genius at age 12 but I guess I had to figure out eventually

Marathon Infinity exists.
Time travel is best when no one knows how it works.
it was a joke regarding my signature
I respect it as an artistic statement but I do not really enjoy listening to it. Except the last song, I like that one.
I'll wait for Kanye's next normal album.
