Funny, the graphic design industry prefers those companies over others.
The graphic design industry used to be a nice occupation to have with a highly specialized skill set. That's no longer the case anymore, because nowadays everybody is a Photoshop expert. A large part of this is due to the fact that Photoshop and Illustrator really aren't that hard to learn in the first place (affording to purchase them is a completely different matter.)
Why is it that, even after three weeks of getting at least nine hours of sleep every day, I feel completely exhausted because I only got six last night?

That was my thought, more or less. They provided a download page with valid serial numbers and the only requirement mentioned up front was to create a free account. If they say after the fact that it's only meant for certain people, well, too bad; I didn't do anything wrong.

One upside of Adobe that I don't think Corel has: support of OpenType features. Adobe co-created the format with Microsoft, after all...
