  • So.

I just discovered that Flipside, which I have planned on using as a webcomic name sometime in the future, is already taken by a fantasy webcomic. On top of that, it seems to be a very schlocky ero-fantasy comic.

Okay, perhaps "schlocky" is too harsh (I haven't read it and don't plan to), but it's clearly a sex comic.

I'm kind of annoyed, though I don't really have a logical reason to be.

  • Man is a most complex simple creature: see what he weaves, and how base his reasons for doing so.
Yeah, I know the exact same feeling.
  • Actually, it appears that I'm retarded.

The name of the comic I was going to make was Flip!, not Flipside, which is the name of the setting.

    I am

    le stoopeed

not that this'll get made any time soon anyway. I can't draw, and the only artist I know who's not preoccupied with their own work isn't available for other reasons.

  • so Superdickery is down, by the looks of some hacker cabal, by the looks of it.

    How lame.

  • Hey there Dinner Man.
  • Superdickery was an unsafe site anyways already.
  • So. Left the hotel, met up with some friends of ours, now we're eating breakfast and then I think we're leaving Atlanta.

    Aww.
  • Dude.

Well, at least the two of us understand that you're trolling. People are
going all BAWWWWW SKRILLEX LIKED THIS WHYYYYYY. You know why folks?
Because he likes it. And he shared it with his fans. Hopefully some of
them will like it to. this shit is good, and it getting attention is
    good.

    I'd say so.

    I'd say so.

So, any new show that gains a cult following is gonna be known as "The new MLP"?

    >_>

If that were so, MLP should've known as the new Adventure Time.

You see where I'm going with this?

Remember back in the 50s when they'd record like Elvis singing YOU AIN'T NOTHIN BUT A HOUND DOG and then they'd turn the record over and reverse it and it was all NYERP NYERP NYERP NYERP NYERP and people were all like, "That is actually the voice of Satan coming from that song."
Considering the network it's aired on, I would have compared it to Phineas and Ferb instead.

Though I've never gotten around to actually watching either Phineas and Ferb or Gravity Falls.

I don't decide what gets insanely popular.

Adventure Time, while being arguably a better show, is not nearly as popular as MLP.

Hence why I say the new MLP.

MLP got insanely popular for being better written than what was expected of it.

What can I expect of this Gravity Falls given it's "genre and theme" compared to what I'd get if I watched it?

  • You totally can.

Generally though, you're not going to have one unless you live in a country that speaks German or a related language.

You mean your username, right? You'd have to ask CA, Anonus, or Lee about that, but I imagine it would be fine as long as you don't, for example, turn it into a mess of obscure geometric shape symbols that happen to look like a word.

^ Yeah, basically the whole thing started when someone on the Penny Arcade forum wanted to get other's opinions on their web-comic.

However, when other people tried to offer criticism, he basically said that was "just his style", so Andrew Hussie came in and made some comics that where also "just his style".

Hilarity ensued and the world is better for it.
  • Reminds me of a comic about BRO COMICS I saw once.

Candy Valley to Remove Pink Light Camera

    July 15, 2012

Candy Valley mayor Central Avenue announced today that the Department of Public Works will remove the city's only pink light camera from the intersection of Sugar Street and Peppermint Street downtown.

City officials cite the high cost of maintaining the camera as a major factor in the decision to remove it. The camera has been replaced several times since it was first installed in 2008.

"If people run into the camera once, that's unfortunate," said Mayor Avenue. "If they run into it twice, that's a coincidence. But running into it 14 times...I suspect Granny Gumdrop is deliberately destroying the cameras so she can get away with ignoring the 'no turn on pink' sign."

Experts believe the high rate of crashes at the intersection is due to Candy Valley's unusual traffic light setup, which makes use of pink, lavender, and purple lights instead of the standard red, yellow, and green. "Nobody knows what those colors mean," said a spokeman for the Ohio Department of Transportation. "So every time someone from out of town gets to a Candy Valley traffic light, it becomes a guessing game."

The camera is scheduled to be removed "whenever Granny Gumdrop hits it with her Plymouth again."

Of all the excuses people make for unappealing artwork, this is by far my favorite
