The fundamental thing that weeaboos fail to grasp is that what they love most in anime and manga is most frequently not Japanese culture itself, but a mix of superficial Japanese pop culture and American culture as seen through a Japanese lens. Japanese culture at large is something frequently much more alien, or at least different.
In a way, it's like believing that Saturday morning cartoons and superhero comics will tell you everything that you need to know about America, or that the British comedy shows that air on American television make a perfect portrait of the culture of the UK.

I don't think I can sign off on that. I have a few friends that want to live there and this is AFTER spending a year or two in the country already. Not EVERYONE who wants to move to Japan is a weeaboo who's getting most their info from "their mangas and their animus". I think you guys are seriously discounting things like College students who go to Japan for a year on the JET program, learn a respectable amount of the language and decide they'd be happier in Japan after a year or more of living there.
I am not the one who said that everyone who wanted to live there was a weaboo, but I do think you kind of have to have an odd perspective on things to enjoy living there.

Well there certainly are a few things in American or your own home country you have to decide you can go without to live there. Me, I don't think I'd like to live there, but I certainly wouldn't mind visiting again, and I'm happy for my friends who decided getting jobs over there is what they wanted to do.
I have an uncle (actually more like grand uncle or something, but when your family's as enormous as mine you learn to just call everyone aunts, uncles, and cousins) who lives there. I'm not sure what he does for a living, but he's been there since '99 so he must enjoy it.
oh god I fuck up. SHIT. DAMN IT. I didn't turn in the stuff I needed to and now my fin aid will be delayed until August and my mom is going to fucking kill me. I can still turn in it but I'm so fucking stupid FUCK FUCK/ shit.auugugh
Remember back in the 50s when they'd record like Elvis singing YOU AIN'T NOTHIN BUT A HOUND DOG and then they'd turn the record over and reverse it and it was all NYERP NYERP NYERP NYERP NYERP and people were all like, "That is actually the voice of Satan coming from that song."
Ouch! Sorry, JZ. I wish I could do something to help.
Thanks guys. I'm sorry for that post. I'm just going to have to bite the bullet. I had a really bad panic attack. At least it will be processed but it's not going to go smoothly. God I'm dumb.
If I wasn't, I would have been smart enough to realize I needed to send in my tax return. I'm always fucking up like this. Anytime I feel like I did the right thing, something worse comes up. I just need to realize I'll probably fuck everything up that's important :/
Man is a most complex simple creature: see what he weaves, and how base his reasons for doing so.
JZ: I hope your luck changes.
Justice: Adventure Time draws upon the feeling and emotion of boyhood playtimes, role-playing games, and make-believe. Where anything is possible because it's fun.
That said, there's a lot of charm and heart to the show, and the moments it chooses to move away from childish fancy for to say something about people are both simple and resonant.

It fully encircles London and makes the job of isolating it from the rest of the country easier.
Aaron missed the wonderful opportunity to name this song "Coronation Street Up Yours!"
Tbh, I've never actually been to London,
^ It's not particularly funny. Just sayin'

Anyone who wants to live in Japan knows little about it.
It's a great place to visit, but living there is a totally different story.
