Did anyone else adore War For Cybertron?

It along with all more recent Transformers games is on my list of "things I really need to find time to do".

I also need to watch more of Animated, which seems pretty good so far.

Also there's some new all CG Transformers apparently? And Star Scream is actually scary outside the comics for once?

I need to get in on that...

Also I'm a year or two behind on the comics. ^_^;;

Transformers Prime is what you're thinking of, they canceled Animated. WFC and Prime are actually part of the same continuity somehow. Which makes little sense (especially when you compare say, Breakdown, who in WFC is a paranoid coward, and in Prime is apparently a total badass, albeit a sidekick to Knock-Out).

I haven't kept up with much Transformers stuff in awhile. Mostly because the shows are hard for me to watch due to not having TV, and also because the comics are expensive and surprisingly hard to pirate (I seriously want to fucking read Shattered Glass).

Favorite transformers? I've always liked Sideways, especially since it's been heavily implied that every Sideways in every continuity is just one dude.

Unless something has changed, you can torrent comics by figuring out the exact comic you want and finding a comic torrent for the exact week it came out.

Yes, it's a pain in the ass.

Prime is pretty good as a show but I don't keep up with it. Only series I've kept up with all the way is the Bay movies, one of which I have a seething hatred for (and if you've been paying attention you know the one).

Animated was also pretty cool from what I remember of it.

Try watching Energon sometime.

Marvel at the total and utter lack of fucks given by both the production team and whoever was writing the Dub script. Wonder at how frequently characters who look nothing alike have their names confused. Gasp in wonder at the horrible, horrible, horrible CGI that makes Beast Wars look like photorealism.

Energon was pretty bad. Albeit, I liked some of it. Like the Galvatron/Megatron/Unicron stuff.

Plus, Scorpinok was really neat in it. But they removed his main episode.

Cybertron was way better. And so was Armada.(I just wish I could've caught all of Armada) I'm waiting for The Hub to play all of Season 4 of Gen 1. I saw the original Sub of Headmasters, and later on Godmaster Super Force. I never saw the last one. Hasbro, stop removing stuff from YouTube! *shakes fist*

Actually it's probably not Hasbro themselves, but rather automated Copyright bots. Same reason Yugioh Abridged keeps getting yanked, notably. Probably also the reason you can currently find full episodes of Prime on Youtube.

Armada, I liked as a kid. In retrospect, it and the rest of the Unicorm trilogy were pretty godawful. Not that that same can't be said for parts of G1, mind you. Not that I've seen all of G1. I can tell you who my favorite G1 character is though (hint: it's Spinister).

God, I love the Transformers (1985) movie.

Rest of G1 is hit or miss, mostly miss.

Beast Wars is fantastic.

Like what I've seen of Animated, so far.

Most everything else I've seen I'd probably characterize as bad, but this doesn't include the most recent series.

Most American and UK comics I read are pretty rad.

Have you read IDW's More Than Meets The Eye, yet?

It's only nine issues in (plus a double issue) and it's pretty radicool. Focuses mostly on obscure G1 characters like Skids and Rewind and a couple of new people like Rung and Drift (who is no longer a Mary Sue).

This is why you keep an eye on what your writer is doing on the comic.

He's under a different writer now, which has a lot to do with it.

It helps that a lot of people in-universe (notably Ratchet) want to punch him as much as many of the fans previously did.

Yeah, you're pretty much the king of phalluses if Ratchet wants to punch you. Dude is like...secondary Mechanical Jesus, especially in the old Comic series (original, that is, not Dreamwave).

Also there are three other medics, First Aid, Pharma, and Ambulon. Saying anything about them beyond their names is SPOILERZ though.

Yeah, I should catch up on Transformers.

The first ark of All Hail Megatron was where I left off, my favorite part was when Starscream attempts to overthrow Megatron, and Megatron is all like "How many Decepticons did you get for your little uprising? Two? Three?" And then all the Constructicons show up and Megatron realizes he may have underestimated Starscream just a tad.

The comics generally do a much better job with Starscream, he's easily one of the most dangerous Transformers.

Actually, as of the other ongoing IDW title (Robots in Disguise) Starscream is currently the closest thing the Decepticons have to a leader, now that Megatron is dead and the war is over.

Read Issue 9 of MTMTE, was not expecting it to be a flashback issue. Was certainly not expecting Roller to be mentioned, kind of expected Drift to turn out having once been a crackhead and really wasn't expecting Red Alert to die.

I think Dreamwave and IDW sort of figured out that they just have too many god-damn characters and aren't afraid to thin the heard a bit.

They've definitely killed off some people's favorites, but I think it helps to have people actually take the stories serious and realize that not each episode is going to end with the Deceptions fleeing back to their base to lick their wounds.

Yeah.

If The Necrobot's list is reliable, Drift, Rodimus, Chromedome and Skids are all going to get it too.

Flywheels already did several issues ago, but he was an IDW original character. Though on that note, I hope Rung makes a full recovery, he's one of the better new transformers.

I also seriously hope they don't kill Spinister. I'll have to get my nerd rage on if they do.

Spinister is the best character.

You'd be able to see the digital fire for miles.

How can you not love someone who shoots a lamp for looking at him funny, and can also perform the equivalent of removing a heart despite having no medical training?
