I’m so happy, ’cause today I found my friends. They’re in my head.
Question for my fellow systems: How do you conceptualize your, like, state of being?
I’ve mentioned before that we typically conceive of internal discussions as a kind of podcast or radio show, with each of us sitting around a table talking into microphones. Usually Robin and I are the co-hosts and the others chime in when they have something to say. (This is why Celeste calls themself our “producer”, incidentally.)
But when we’re actively interacting with others, we think of it more like a car. One person drives, someone else is in the passenger seat to switch out when we need to swap drivers, and a couple people are in the backseat just kind of there to talk to while we drive.
Does any of that make any sense?
