What’s your favorite episode? I like the finale of Magical Guardian Himeko!! S with the climactic fight on the floor of the National Diet. Himeko kicks ass, and she looks so cute doing it, too!!!

More or less. It’s how I wrote it on the Centipedia page, and it’s 100% the sort of thing a Japanese hero show would do in its title (and with its character names; I believe the original Ultraman did this with all the character names, and Evangelion also did so as an homage, for instance). I think I did consider adding a different script combination for each subsequent series but I hadn’t done that yet.

The animation quality on that one was rough, though. There was an entire episode that was just a flipbook made from a post-it pad with the logo of the animation studio’s law firm at the top…
That episode was intentionally experimental! Everyone memes on it because they have no fucking taste, I swear to Asteria…
I mean, you say that, but they did touch it up a lot for the Purpl-Ray release…
Several other episodes, sure—it’s Studio HAYES, what did anyone expect—but that episode still was 90% flipbook animation with better compositing and a longer version of the stop-motion ED.
The girl with the pink twintails who sang the song for that ED was really cool and talented and probably a child prodigy. You should probably find her Patreon and subscribe to it for $70/month.
In this economy? I could make an episode of that one CGI spinoff with the really long title for that money.

I rented those DVDs last weekend from a local video store I don’t remember seeing before, but when I came back the next day the shop was gone. Am I going to be charged late fees for this?
Carly Robin Ravenswood I have good news and bad news. The bad news is that your DVDs are probably made out of Hawking radiation. The good news is that Centralian law explicitly cancels any late fees that are or could be the result of shops redshifting into black holes.

Carly Robin Ravenswood I believe that should depend exclusively on region-locking settings, PAL vs NTSC, and the phase of the moon, so you should be okay, unless it’s a waning crescent.
