Home Alone 2's wish fulfillment aspect lands better than Home Alone 1

Just puttin’ that out there. Super expensive luxury hotel, gigantic toy store, he had a limousine that one time, and you just get to roam New York unsupervised. Most of the wish fulfillment in the first movie was just running around the house doing things that would normally get you in trouble.

I won’t lie I don’t remember shit about either of these movies even though as a kid I watched both of them like ten times.

They’re still in my rotation of “things I rewatch every couple of years”, which…I just assumed that’s a thing everyone does with certain movies? I guess not necessarily.
