First, a bizarre 9/11-themed highway rest stop off Interstate 75 near Monroe, Michigan.
The shores of Lake Erie as viewed from Sterling State Park just outside Monroe. I really like this second one with the power plant cooling towers way off in the distance.
Now for Detroit! Here’s the view from Belle Isle, looking south across the Detroit River into Windsor, Ontario, Canada.

Bowling Green, Ohio: A donut shop with a funny sign. (For context, Bowling Green is only about a 25-minute drive out from Toledo.)
