My friend (who also carved a wand/staff) and I spent a little while doing silly things around my house, like turning the lights on and off with “magic”

I am, of course, not an actual practitioner of magic. I don’t believe in the supernatural.

But I wanted a prop for when my friends and I play make believe and we thought it would be fun to craft our own.

When that storm blew through on March 13th and littered the entire apartment complex with branches, we realized we had a really good opportunity to gather materials…and the “Friday the 13th” aspect adds to the chuuni-ness, I think.
