Millennium 🌠 A lot of the newer library branches in the Columbus area are designed with short shelves, wide aisles, lots of windows and open space…but the OWL hasn’t been renovated since the early ’90s, so it still has the delightfully cramped feel with the low ceilings and the high shelves and the narrow aisles. This is my natural habitat.
Imicow High shelves and narrow aisles kind of give it that claustrophobic, we-could-get-lost-in-here kind of feel, eh?
Millennium 🌠 Exactly! I get why they want the newer libraries to feel more “open” and “inviting”, but I’d rather have a place where I can hole myself up and read and write and keep to myself.
Millennium 🌠 You ever just wanna be a nerdy 12-year-old with cute glasses and cute pink sweater sitting in the corner of a nice little library reading all afternoon while it rains?
