Forum Rules
- Keep things chill. Respect boundaries. Refrain from rude remarks. Just treat other people well in general. Be the kind of person you would want to share a website with.
- Moderation staff reserves the right to ban users who make the forum experience less pleasant for others, even if no specific rule has been violated. This is not a courtroom and we will not be arguing about the letter of the law.
- Bigotry of any kind, including, but not limited to, sexism, racism, homophobia, transphobia, or ableism, will not be tolerated.
- Any thread containing explicit content must be marked 18+.
- Don’t post anything illegal. I feel this one’s pretty self-explanatory.
- I shouldn’t really need to tell anyone this, but no spam. Please report any spam to the moderation staff.
- If you’re here because someone here linked to your site, please think twice about joining. We’re not going to stop you, but in the past, this hasn’t worked out well for any party involved.

FAQ
What is Heapers’ Hangout?
Honestly? A forum about nothing in specific. The original incarnation of the website was founded in 2011 by users of an older, larger forum who were dissatisfied with its moderation. Nowadays it’s just a place to hang out.
For the curious, the term “Heaper” derives from the mildly self-deprecating name of our previous general chat thread, “The Trash Heap”.
What is a personal thread?
A “personal thread”, as we use the term here, is essentially a miniature personal blog. Post anything of significance to you, whether it’s music or videos you like, stuff you made, or just random thoughts that pop into your head. Personal threads are visible only to logged-in users.
