Cleveland:
Stub for the cancelled Parma Freeway, now repurposed as an awkward half-interchange between I-71 and Denison Avenue.
People cared a lot less about environmental impact back in the ’50s/'60s when this was built, so they kind of fucked up Big Creek to make room for it. But over the past few years there’s been a study to recommend restoring the creek’s original meander and, with it, remove the largely-useless freeway stub in favor of a full interchange at Ridge Road. While I will admittedly be a little sad to see that small piece of Cleveland road history go away, there are enough obvious benefits here that I can’t oppose this plan in good faith.
