Does anybody actually use the built-in microphones on cheap earbuds?

I would. I love weird lo-fi recording equipment.

I am also pretty sure that my sister records melodies that pop into her head to her iPod, so the concept is not entirely alien to me, although I was unaware of the earbuds themselves having microphones.
