I can sorta forgive Marx for that since he did inspire a lot of people back then to strive to improve their working and living conditions, which was a thing that did need to be done back then.

They may have been working off of a faulty framework, but the things they did from that framework were pretty solid.

(This is not to excuse the failures of Socialism In One Country or of modern Marxism, of course.)
