I've been okay with airline food, generally. But they rarely ever serve it anymore.

Whenever they give out complimentary cookies it makes me want to ask for 10 or so of them because they're tiny and I'm often hungry. 

I am restrained by social convention/politeness, though, and sometimes just ask for two. Or three. >_>

Usually not ten, at any rate.

We get a can of soda. Well, we in the general sense. We as in me usually get ginger ale, of all things. I don't know why.

The airline I normally fly on for band stuff or sometimes to visit family in winter does soda and little cookies, generally. They're just shortbread ones, maybe a couple inches long - nothing fancy.

Once they did tiny bags of off-brand chex mix. I didn't really like those as well, but it was also a really short flight so I didn't mind.

my flight back from Crete was with Aegean and their inflight meal was actually p tasty, but they're Greek, they have the unfair advantage of already having one of the best cuisines

my flight to Crete, on the other hand, was with a British carrier and you had to pay extra if you even wanted a bottle of water, never mind a free meal. which was very british

i also distinctly remember a 90s american airlines meal where every single component of it had the distinct taste of mcdonalds burger buns

i think the only flight where i actually had food was the eight-hour one to the uk; it was through delta and the food wasn't good

This is what I got when I flew United to see Anonus

When I flew American on the way back though, the flight attendant gave me the whole can!

I think American will give you the whole can for cranberry and maybe apple juice, but not orange juice or water or milk.

JetBlue I know gives you a whole bottle for water, probably other drinks.

Actually JetBlue does this really interesting thing where they have the flight attendants go around with baskets and trays, rather than using a push-cart.

Alaskan has good food items (like, actual good food), but they cost money. Otherwise you get those little packets of a snack mix
